The election commission is incharge of conducting Elections, but the overall sanctity is Every Citizens Responsibility.
The Elections are done in a equally divided units called Polling Stations based on 1000 voters and each Polling Station is an End to End Machinery.
Starting from Identifying an Area of 1000 voters to Listing them in a Voters list and conducting Elections are carried across more than 7-8 thousand polling stations in Bangalore, making the total voters to be more than 50 lakhs. This is the current Statistics available with the Election Commission. But we believe that every person who is coming to Bangalore in search of Livelihood needs to be made well aware of his Registration of being a Voter in a Place where he is going to stay for a good number of years and participate or has his say for the Prosperity of Democratic Institutions. Hence, the assumption that there are at least more than 100% voters who needs to be Registered and accordingly the number of polling stations also increases.
The Election Commission deputes 1 booth level official for each Polling Station, who is honararily paid to be responsible for the Voters List and Since its a recent development of fine tuning this role of being a BLO, there has been a lot of issues with respect to the accuracy in Listing of Voters.
But When it comes to the day of Elections, the Commission deep dives to ensure that the Election is carried with more than 5-6 Government Officials with clear Procedures followed by Presiding Official, Polling Official and others. This shows that the control of the entire Preparation till elections has never been given importance in our Country so far.
We as a Political Party, should play a vital role in ensuring that this Entire Electoral Machinery, which is a Polling Station is significantly monitored, assissted and make every effort that each and every voter is made to voice his authority as a Democratic Citizen.
We will hold Primary or Open Debates and Discussions with Internal Voting as soon as we have more than one active member within a Polling Station, So that all the members of our Organisation are purely voted on Merits and nothing else.
Our team would comprise of atleast one person who is Representative of one polling station who inturn will be the member of the Ward Commitee along with those already required as Ward Committee members.
Our membership of atleast two members per polling station and atleast 50 percent of such polling stations with atleast 2 members falling under the respective electorate will be mandatory for us to be contesting such an Election be it a Ward, Assembly or Parliamentary.
